Dear Christ
Chapel Orange County,
Ever wonder what the Bible
really has to say about homosexuality? Then you
might want to attend our seminar: Homosexuality and the Bible
Come join us after service on Sunday, November 13 from 12:00 - 3:00. Please
bring your own lunch or grab a quick bite to eat between service and the
seminar. (There is a sign-up sheet at the Welcoming Table.)
The Bible must be studied in historical,
cultural, and scriptural context. Have you ever
struggled with the meaning of the "clobber verses" and how a
LGBT person can have a relationship with Christ? Ever wondered how you
can reconcile being LGBT with your Christian faith? Is homosexuality
really a sin? These are just some of the questions that we will be
exploring along with scriptures commonly used to condemn
homosexuality.
There are no disclaimers at
the foot of the cross that exclude gays and lesbians. We want you
to know there is not an asterisk in the Bible that reads
"unless you are LGBT" next to the incredible loving words of
Jesus who said "whoever comes to me I will never drive away."
John 6:37 NASB

Feel free to invite your family and friends.
God bless you,
Pastor Lillian
